Mother's Day

It's mother's day. Not a typical mother's day however. No mothers were seen (couldn't afford to drive to NY), and no little girl to hug me (still in CO). :(

However, it was a day full of adventure, pricker bushes, steep hills, and WIND.
No progress with CSS so far today. Instead our little adventure group which I think I'll start calling Moe, Larry and Curly, but are currently known as me, Michael and Beth set out for Monteville, CT. Our mission: Old American Indian Cave.

We failed.

Not totally our fault though; all we had to work with were GPS coordinates, which may or may not have been accurate, and some directions from other people who have been there who have posted it's where-abouts on a UK website.

We now have better directions, and a compass and machete will be part of our gear for the next attempt.

After giving up, we explored Essex' waterfront, and then ate at the Pattaconk restaurant in Chester. Both super sweet cozy cute towns. Got video of Michael almost falling into a waterfall. Talked to a complete stranger for a little while before leaving Chester about the historical society there, and restoring/saving old houses.

Then home for a hot shower and a hot toddy to warm up. Freakin 32 degrees tonight!
