Mid 30's. Yikes. Well, I'm going to first, forget my age altogether, because it really doesn't matter and I don't look it anyways, and second, I'm going to be more lenient on myself in regards to the timing of my big goals. Cuz obviously, they ain't happenin by 35!
So at this point, I'm not going to say I have a year to complete xyz... I'm going to give myself more time. I think that alleviates alot of stress that I've placed on myself to have had certain things done at a certain time. And it's apparent from my lack of success that I have poor time management skills! Anyway, I think if I can get to where I want to be in the next 5 years, I'll take it.
What do I want from this next year though? Peace. Less stress. Reliable income. Reliable vehicle. A solid plan. So I'll start there.
The process of being a photographer and artist always on the heels of my muse.

I'll get in that gallery yet...
I just spent some time researching digital online printers, and resources for mats, backing boards and the cello bags, and I've found two very cheap websites: Goldenstatearts.com for the mats/board/bags, (and they have combo packs!) and HDphotolab.com.
I just ordered an 8x12 on metallic paper for only 2.89. We shall see how it comes out... and the combo packs for a mat, board, and bag at the other site is only 1.59!
So if I start with 25 photos, it will cost me under 200 to mount, mat and bag em! That's pretty good. Of course, as long as the quality is there.
Here's to hoping for birthday money!

Note to self...
To do HDR, you need a tripod.
**edit: OR you need nice software like photomatrix to do auto alignment if you're a stumbling drunk shot.**

New focus!
I am going to try some HDR photography. It showed itself to me last night; and it captivated me! I think it's exactly what some of my photos needed! Especially since my camera kinda sucks now.
Some awesome examples of HDR: HDR gallery.
I put up bunches of new photos on my Deviant art gallery.
Now for some HDR tuts.

January progress? Was there any?
Well, I'm still lame and unemployed. What have I done toward my goals? A lil bit... Made the first flash site I've made in like 5 years... Have taken oodles of photos of the weather happenings... Snow and ice, snow and ice... that's all I've seen for weeks. I've learned more about working with Wordpress for my friends site... started more advanced CSS and started eyeing Javascript, but that's about it.
I was loading all my loverly photos to my Facebook, when a good friend notified me that Facebook has some shady reuse terms on what is uploaded SO I took most of it all down, and am, at this very moment, uploading them to Flickr and Deviantart. Yes, I'm triple tasking. More like Quadruple-tasking because I'm also messin with Twitter, and stalking Sarma Melngailis. That's even MORE than four things... The internet has given me some major ADD.
So one month down... now what? Oh, right....get a freaking JOB. I am going to go to the CT Works department and see if they can help me beef up my resume. Then I'm just going to go nuts getting it out. Still not sure what my plan of attack should be... full time office work, or more restaurant work... job at the casino... Whatever, I have some financial issues to fix, so whatever gets me the most and lets me build my art and web skills.
